Pool Vacuums

For most pool owners, swimming is a lot of pleasure, but maintaining swimming pools can more than a hassle. However, the invention of electric pool cleaners simply leaves pool owners to sit comfortably by the poolside while the equipment is doing the dirty job.

A pool vacuum is a dream come true for busy pool owners who can barely find an upkeep schedule to do some scrubbing and vacuuming of buildup of organisms and debris on pool walls, water, and bottom. What's more interesting is that automatic pool vacuum and robotech pool vacuum cleaners are now in the stores. You can't imagine how these affordable pieces of equipment can make life easier and fun.

The market has three popular types of automatic swimming pool vacuum cleaners: pressure slide pool cleaners, robotic pool cleaners, and suction side pool cleaners.

Pressure Side pool vacuum cleaners utilize the return pressure of the pool's pump to thrust debris and dirt into a dirt bag in the vacuum cleaner before fine particles are swirled and sifted by the pool's filter system. One advantage of pressure pool vacuums is they are neither affected by your pool's pump system, in spite of using pressure from it.

Robotic pool vacuums are run using a digital device. They are capable of scrubbing all corners of virtually any size of pool. They operate separately from the pool's pump and filter system. Robotic pool vacuums can scrub off algae, dirt, and bacteria and even climb pool walls up to the water top level, maneuver their way around steps and ladders, and automatically shuts off as soon as the pool is clean.

Suction side pool vacuum cleaners employ the pool's suction, typically obtained from the skimmer, to suck in dirt and debris from the bottom of the facility and carry them off to the filter, where they are cleaned. This equipment can be likened to a vacuum cleaner powered by water.

Different pool vacuums work for above ground and in ground pools. An above ground automatic pool vacuum makes the laborious task of vacuuming the bottom of your pool using an ordinary vacuum a chore you can forget. This allows you to enjoy your pool more rather than spend more time cleaning it.

Manual pool vacuums, meanwhile, are less expensive that the automatic models but works the same way only that they literally require a push and pull with long posts affixed on their bodies. Ordinary pool vacuums can also go underwater to suck in the usual contaminants on pool bottoms.

These pool vacuums are usually wheeled, while other simply slither their way to clean. Pool vacuums differ by models, and many of them function by insertion into the pool skimmer. Select a pool vacuum with a triangular head that can reach out to corners.

The manufacturer Hayward has a gamut of automatic and manual pool vacuum cleaners. Above ground Hayward pool vacuums include the Aqua Bug, Diver Dave and Wanda the Whale. These are not only designed to work efficiently on problem areas around the pool walls but also serve as pool accessories.

Hayward pool vacuums for in ground pool include the suction (Navigator™ and Pool Vac Ultra™) and pressure (Viper™ and Phantom™) cleaners. Hayward suction cleaners are best used in desert and tropical environments where cleaning requirements for small leaves and twigs, fine particles, and dirt are higher. Similarly, Hayward suction cleaners are easily installed through skimmers or a dedicated line.

Pool upkeep can be tedious but it is necessary to protect and extend the investment you put on your backyard oasis. So whether it's a new or old pool, technology will never leave you behind in keeping your pool clean and sanitized.
