Though swimming pools always are refreshing addition to any homes, swimming pools could become a deathtrap. A swimming pool is as potentially deadly to an unattended toddler as an 80 mph limit freeway. Likewise, if you are living on fringes of civilization, you would not want wildlife to be lapping at the waters of your pool. You might be excited at the sight of a caribou drinking at your pool but you’ll never be sure if the placid creature is a microbe carrier. It’s best that, in order to protect interests, you install pool fences.
The only problem is that pool fences do tend to get in the view’s way. They destroy façade. They are bulky, ugly, untidy and shabby. And the worse thing is that, they seem just too encompassing. You might as well as put a downright sign that would say “Off Limits”.
But yet, the safety measure that it brings could never be overlooked. You cannot just pass up prevention and safety protocols just to stay in line and stay chic. You might as well put your toddler in a leash, a fancy glittering bling leash.
So again the safety measures of installing pool fences could never be overlooked. Install those pool fences now; you might be saving the life of your toddler. But in any case you should install them nicely. What I mean is that choose the best style, the best design, the best concept pool fences fitting on the façade of your pool. Do you have a tropical setting? Then wrought iron pool fence is your choice. The same goes if you have lush vegetation surrounding your pool. Wrought iron pool fences do look good especially if there are plants to hide its cumbersome detail.
Anyway, here’s my recommendation for a pool fence.
In my quest to provide the best (and most apt looking) pool fence, I landed with the Wrought Iron Pool Fence by Amazing Gates. It’s a steel pool fence, picket designed with wrought iron look. The pickets have 4” of space with no mid rail running for a non climbing feature, making it “mischief proof”. Each panel is 8’ x 4’11” tall and un-hunged. The panels and the posts are steel manufactured and Hot Dipped Galvanized (HDG) processed, baked on powder coat finish, thus giving it highest durability. And this “Wrought Iron” Pool Fence by Amazing Gates meets the United States B.O.C.A. Product Safety Commission Guidelines regarding home pool fences. By the way, do you know what the best metal materials for pool fences are? Aluminum pool fences could be considered as the best looking, only that it is weaker compared to the steel or iron fence. Iron, especially wrought iron is better looking than steel, the only problem is that iron is more expensive to install, and in order for it to last requires more maintenance as iron corrodes very easily.
All these options are expensive by the way, as metal materials are considered irreplaceable. You can however go vinyl pool fence. In fact, I find vinyl a more pleasing option, due to its attractive and elegant look, easy installation, and the cheapest pool fence. The only problem is that, it is weaker. But for the purpose of keeping specifics away from the pool and at the same time looking nice, vinyl pool fences should be more or less appropriate.
I have seen several styles of pool fences over at Lifetime Vinyl Fence. They have Victorian, Baron, Countess, Monarch, and Princeton designs, going from $10 up to $12 per foot. They sell on 4 choices for fence height at 3/4/5/6 feet.
What would you choose as a pool fence? If you have money to spend, I would recommend you wrought iron. But if you want to spend cheaply, go for vinyl in a wrought iron design instead.
